Packaged well and meets all our expectations. It requires 6 AA batteries for the automatic feature and comes with bags, but you can use any 13-gallon bags. This can is as quiet as a library. A split-top opening is more convenient for us, needing less clearance than a flip-top. They offer a variety of motion-sensing cans, and this one was just the right size for my space. Came with a starter pack of trash bags, but I already had some that fit. The stainless steel matches my other appliances and the bag holding mechanism is a smart touch ? no more sagging bags. Had to apply a bit of vegetable oil to the hinges for smoother closing, but overall, it's been a great addition. Still getting used to not having to touch the lid to open it, but it's a welcome change.

Wasn't sure about getting this because of mixed reviews but ended up being the perfect fit for our kitchen. Had issues with removing the bag at first but found a trick to it. Removing that black plastic piece makes it easier to get the bag out. It's a fantastic trash can, especially liking the flat top and how it opens, really useful when you're cooking.
